Wilson R. Torres

Wilson R. Torres of Maple Shade passed away on August 24, 2025 at the age of 71. He was born in New York City on March 12, 1954 to the late Sgt. Rene Torres USMC and Casilda Torres (nee Diaz).

He was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan and never missed a game on TV. He enjoyed time with his friends and could always be counted on for a laugh. He was proud to have served as a Marine, been born into a Marine Corps family and strongly loved his country.

Preceded in death by his parents Sgt Rene Torres USMC & Casilda Torres (Diaz). his sister Jacqueline Torres, his daughter Michelle Conover, he is survived by son Christopher Torres (Amanda), grandchildren Kaitlin, Tristan and James Torres of Glendale, AZ, Rylen & Zane Conover of Layton, UT, nieces Bernadette Romarino of Sicklerville, NJ, Christina Owes of Philadelphia & Jennifer Romarino of Paulsboro, NJ. Long time partner Mary Galdo of Williamstown, NJ. her children, Elaine Pagan (Hawk) of Sicklerville, Kristina Irlich (Jason) of Williamstown, grandchildren Caleigh, Carson, Briella, Greyson, Jonah and Vayda.

Funeral services for Cpl. Torres with military honors will be held on Tuesday September 16th, 11:30 AM at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ. Please arrive at 11:15 AM. Arrangements by the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, Maple Shade.
