William Otto Katt, Jr.

William Otto Katt, Jr. of Marlton passed away peacefully on December 6, 2020 at 89 years of age. Born in Mt. Holly, William - know as Otto, was raised in Chatsworth and resided in New Lisbon before retiring to Vero Beach Florida and then lastly Marlton, NJ. Otto proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a chief lineman for JCP&L in Cookstown. Otto was a graduate of Pemberton High School, class of 1949. A lifelong athlete, he played baseball and basketball in the Rancocas Valley League, and slow pitch softball in the Burlington County League. He was an avid golfer and member of the Pemberton American Legion Post #294. He was active in the Episcopal church, most recently as a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Medford.

 

Beloved husband for 66 years of Mary Elizabeth Katt (nee Price), loving father of Debra (Douglas) Katt-Lloyd, Karen Katt (Bob Gieza) and William Otto III (Damaris) Katt. Dear brother of Betty (Donald) Nolan, brother-in-law of Bill Colby and Janet Price. Cherished grandfather of William Otto IV (Anna) Katt, Manuela Katt, Sarah (Russell) Van Fossen, John Robert (Alana) Katt, Benjamin (Shiloh) Katt, Nathanael Katt, Mary Katt, Joseph Katt, James Katt, Michaela Katt, Luke Katt, and Caitlin Gieza. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service and Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Otto's name may be made to Wiley Mission, 99 E. Main St., Marlton, NJ 08053. Memories and condolences may be shared by visiting marktilghmanfuneralhome.com
