Thomas S. Armstrong

Thomas S. Armstrong, age 56, of Williamstown, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020. Born on January 22, 1964 in New Britain, Connecticut, he lived in various places in the United States and several locations in Germany. Tom was an auto mechanic, a job he was passionate about. He was an avid NASCAR fan, attending races at all but 4 tracks on the circuit; he enjoyed restoring his 1969 Vista Cruiser; and traveling in his RV. Tom was very personable and lived life to the fullest, most often being the ‘life of the party’. He graduated Class of 1983 from Hanau American High School in Hanau, Germany, and was proud to be part of the Panther family.

Tom was the beloved husband of April C. Schauer; treasured grandson of the late Alicia L. Williams;  loving son of the late Joseph Armstrong, who’s birthday was June 27th (father and son are now reunited in heaven); devoted son of Roberta “Bobbi” Armstrong; dear brother of Joseph, James, Mary (Donald) D’Arcy and Christopher (Denise); and “his girls,” Daisy May and Murphy Browne. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, Jessica Armstrong (Zak), Jonathan Armstrong, Patrick Armstrong, Jamie Armstrong (deceased), Caitlyn Lawyer, Godson Christopher Bass (Jesse), Donald D’Arcy, Ashleigh D’Arcy, Hannah D’Arcy, Stephanie D’Arcy, Danny Falvey and Trisha Bickhart. Tommy cherished his time spent with his great nieces and nephews, Layla, Safiya, Ahmed and Yusuf. He is also survived by an extremely, large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He had many friends and neighbors that he considered family.

A visitation and life celebration will be held after the Covid restrictions are lifted. Please check back for a later date and time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Tom’s name may be made to Victory Junction @ victoryjunction.org or a charity of the donor’s choice.
