Ruth E. DeStefano

Ruth E. DeStefano (nee Sims) age 83 of Maple Shade passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, July 18, 2020. She was born in Philadelphia on October 15, 1936 and has resided in Maple Shade since 1960. Ruth enjoyed Sunday dinners, but her greatest joy was spending time with her devoted family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Beloved wife of 67 years to John DeStefano, loving and devoted mother of John (Charleine) DeStefano, Karen (Vince) Voiro, Ruth (Bill) Reiss, Patrick DeStefano, and Michael (Kelly) DeStefano, dear sister of Adelaide (Charles) Wolfe, Susie (Tom) Taylor, Bobbie Nolan, and Linda (Dave) Young, also survived by her many beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A viewing and visitation with her family will be held on Thursday evening July 23rd from 6-9 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service on Friday will be private. Social distancing restrictions will be in place, all persons will be required to wear face coverings, and visitors are asked to leave the premises and return to their cars immediately after paying their respects. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth’s name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation @kidney.org
