Ruth L. Casassa

Ruth L. Casassa (nee Smalley) of Maple Shade passed away peacefully on Saturday November 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years old.

Ruth was born in Ridley Park, Pa and was a long time resident of Maple Shade. She retired from Harris Telecommunications in Cherry Hill and Wawa on Forklanding Road in Maple Shade. Ruth enjoyed crossword puzzles, Suduko, jigsaw puzzles, yahtzee, Phase 10, and playing cards. She also liked to watch Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy on television. She was passionate about spending time with her family and traveling for many summers to Ocean City.

Loving mother of Carol Ann (Tom) Reilly, Sandra (the late Richard) Brewer. Penny Casassa (Rick Fedoriw), the late Richard "Rick" (Joann) Casassa and Peter (Lisa) Casassa, cherished grandmother of 9 and dear great grandmother of 13. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Katie Smalley, sister of the late Dorothy Morse, Grayce Mills, Robert Smalley, Harry Smalley and Claude Smalley, Ruth is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a gathering and visitation with her family on Friday December 9th, 9:30-11:30 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Her memorial service will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
