Robert G Sauselein

Sauselein, Robert G., age 81 of Maple Shade, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 30th, 2026. He was predeceased by his high school sweetheart, Ruth (Lemmerman) Sauselein in 2022 after 59 years of marriage. Loving Father of Robert E. Sauselein Sr. (Karen) & Steven D. Sauselein. Dear Brother of the deceased Joseph, Jack, & Charles. Happily known as “Pops” to his Grandchildren Robert E. Sauselein Jr. (Erica), Ashley Blakeslee (Jason), Lauren Saduk (Zach), Christopher Sauselein (Tanya), Evan Sauselein, & Sierra Sauselein. Great Grandfather of Jordan, Nathan, Lexi, Tristan, Damien, Deacon, Dalton, Zachery, Mckenzie, Declan, Mia, & Katie. And Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He served his country for over 39 years between the US Navy & NJ Army National Guard. He worked for the NJ Department of Military & Veteran Affairs for 46 years, with his last position being Superintendent at Veterans Haven Transitional Housing for Homeless Veterans. He was part of many organizations in Maple Shade including PT Recreation Director for 12 years, Chairman of the Maple Shade Food Bank for 6 years, and was always seen at the fireworks each year. He enjoyed helping others and would never hesitate to give the shirt off his back to those in need. 

Come celebrate 81 great years Thursday June 25th 5-7 p.m. at Mark Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 North Forklanding Road, Maple Shade NJ where there will be a 7 p.m. service.
