Robert J. Ormsby

Robert J. Ormsby age 83 of Maple Shade passed away on Monday January 4, 2021. He was born in Camden, and was a lifetime resident of Maple Shade. Bob retired after 44 years of employment with Holman Ford as service manager. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a proud member of the AmVets. He also worked as a crossing guard in Maple Shade, and was a member of N-SSA. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Beloved husband of the late Joan Ormsby (nee Makin), loving father of Darlene (Eric) Uzdan, Robin (Bill III) Fitzpatrick, Paula (Michael) Wilkins, Robert III (Stefanie) Ormsby, brother of the late John Ormsby and Mary Welsch, brother-in-law of Linda Ormsby, cherished grandfather of Amanda, Colin, Vincent, Nicole, Ross, Johnathan, Tommy, Katrina, Kaitlyn, Cassidy, Savannah and Isabella, adoring great grandfather of McKenzie, Evie, Emma, Dean, Jameson, Addison, Colton and Jacob L.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Sunday evening January 10th 7-9 pm and Monday morning 9-10 am at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in the NJ Veterans Cemetery. Due to cemetery restrictions and family request, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s memory to AmVets @amvets.org Social distancing will be in place, facial coverings will be required, and visitors are asked to please return to their cars after paying their respects so others may do the same.
