Richard “Dick” T. Serafin

Richard T. “Dick” Serafin age 74 of Delran, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. Born in Florence, he was a lifetime area resident. Dick proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the Burlington County Prosecutors Office as Captain of the Major Crimes Unit, prior to that was employed as a Lieutenant with the Pemberton Twp Police Department, where he met his soulmate and best friend Patt. Dick was a member of the P.B.A. and the Burlington Lodge of F&AM #32. Above all else, he enjoyed time spent with his family, most especially his grandchildren.   Father of the late Rik Serafin, he is survived by his beloved wife Patricia Serafin, (nee Tomlinson), loving children Brooke (Michael) Christine, Kimberly Riggs (Robert Anderson), dear sister Deanne Mjelde and brother-in-law Wade (Kathy) Tomlinson, cherished grandchildren Christopher Riggs, Kyle Riggs, Rory Christine and Molly Christine, devoted uncle to 4 nieces and great uncle to one niece and one nephew.   Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Friday, September 7th, 6-8 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Memorial service will follow at 8 pm. Memorial donations may be made in Dick’s name, to the American Cancer Society @cancer.org
