Michelle Eberle

Listen to Obituary

She was a woman whose life was defined by her love and devotion to her family. A revered "baseball mom" and a DIY artisan, Michelle didn't just attend her children’s games; she lived at the field, orchestrating a decade of travel from Georgetown to Hershey to ensure her boys had a front-row seat to their own potential.

Born in 1979 and a 1997 graduate of Gloucester City, Michelle spent thirteen years as a dedicated professional phlebotomist with the American Red Cross. She traveled across New Jersey and Pennsylvania to blood drives with the same quiet reliability that she applied to her home life. Her parenting style was one of mutual respect—treating her children with consideration, favoring conversation and explanation over corporal punishment, and serving as their primary anchor.

Though her specialty in the kitchen was humorously noted as "packaged salad, Swedish meatballs and Hamburger Helper," her real creative output was found in her crafting. She was a "DIY girl" who could find beauty in anything she could put together; there wasn’t a Pinterest craft she couldn’t accomplish. A devoted Steelers fan in a family full of Eagles fans, she possessed a stubborn independence.

She is survived by her mother, Hazel Eberle; her father (who called her “Reds”) John Eberle Sr and stepmother Lisa Eberle; She also leaves behind her brother, John Eberle Jr. (Amber Hoffman); her sister, Emily Eberle. Her children: Keirstyn Jeffries (Kyle), Seth McCormick, Cole McCormick, and Jameson Eberle. She was the proud Mimi to Julian and Nathan who she shared a special tradition with for each and every holiday. She leaves behind her Goddaughter, Cassidy Gellura; nieces, Kayla and Vera Eberle; one nephew, Everett who is on the way, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and her American Red Cross Family. Michelle is now reunited with her daughter, Sarah McCormick, her granddaughter, Charlette Dawkins, her sister, Christine Eberle and her godmother Janet Eberle Weisman. Michelle found joy in country music, musical artist Pink and attending the annual Lantern Festival in Pennsylvania, where thousands of lights are released into the dark. Her own light, though now transitioned, remains a focal point for the family she built.

Come celebrate her life Monday, August 24th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 409 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn where there will be a 7:00 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers donations to the Red Cross (redcross.org) will be appreciated. Services under the direction of Mark Tilghman Funeral Home, Maple Shade.
