The family of Ken Kendrick is deeply saddened to announce his passing on May 10, 2025, after a life richly lived in love, kindness, honor, and integrity. Ken was an inspiration to us all, a true gentleman with a big heart who left an imprint of what that meant to all who knew and loved him.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio to Maury, Sr. and Lola Kendrick. Ken graduated high school in Broomall, Pennsylvania. During this time, he taught himself how to play guitar and began playing in bands.
He enlisted in the US Navy during Vietnam and served the ship Ticonderoga, and was also stationed in Japan.
After his service, he came back to Broomall and began working for the Pennsylvania Railroad which introduced him into a career in computers. During this time, he also joined a 10 piece band called Corruption that played in and around Philly and the Jersey Shore.
He then became a father to Mike, Matt & Jen who he loved very much.
From the railroad, Ken began his long career at Willis Towers Watson where he was still employed at the time of his passing at the age of 79. Ken loved his work and was so very dedicated to his job. It wasn't just a job to him but a calling he did with excellence which fulfilled him very much.
Ken loved his family, and is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Meg. He is also survived by his brother Garry, stepbrothers Steve and Tyke, his sons Michael, Matthew and his wife Stephanie, his daughter Jennifer, and his stepdaughter Bonnie and son-in-law Chris. He was Pop Pop to 4 grandchildren, Travis, Kai, Scarlett and Easton, as well as his great niece Penelope who all adored him.
Ken leaves behind many friends who will sadly miss him.
Services will be held on Wednesday June 11th at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade, where friends and family are welcome to come pay their respects from 9:30-11:00 AM, with a memorial service to follow.
Although his presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing and may we carry forth Ken's legacy of love, compassion and honor. We will miss you so very much.
Ken prioritized finding love and joy in life and sharing it with others. The family asks you to do the same - go out and find what gives you joy and share it with the ones you love.
