Marie P. Wayne

Marie P. Wayne (nee Keebler) of Pennsauken passed away peacefully on Thursday September 7, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born on April 27, 1933 in Philadelphia to the late Charles and Catherine Keebler, she resided in Palmyra and Cape May Courthouse before moving to Pennsauken 27 years ago. Marie retired from Wolters Kluwer in Philadelphia where she worked as a permission clerk. Marie was an avid reader. She looked forward to her weekly hairdresser Saturdays followed by linner (a meal between lunch and dinner) with her daughters and others who would occasionally join. A passionate animal lover she will be missed by her 3 cats and dog.  Her entire family was central in her life and caring for all of them was what she enjoyed most.
 
Beloved wife of the late John Wayne and mother of the late William "Billy" Kennedy, Jr., she is survived by her loving and devoted children Patty (Joe) Tregl, Debbie Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, James (Ann) Kennedy, Cindy Kennedy, Rick (Marie) Kennedy, her cherished grandchildren Stephanie, Danielle, Jennifer, Steven, Rachel, Kristina, Jamie, Mickey, Alyssa and Julia, dear great grandmother of 8.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family on Friday, September 15th 9:30-11:30 AM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Her funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
