Joseph J. Gillan of Maple Shade passed away on Wednesday March 25, 2020. He was 68 years old. Born in Philadelphia on March 10, 1952, he was a lifelong resident of Maple Shade. Joe retired as a Detective with the Maple Shade Police Department. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

Beloved husband of 42 years to Gayle Gillan (nee Hill), loving brother to Dolores and her husband Phillip Brennan, Edward Gillan, and Robert and his wife Donna, dear uncle to many nieces and nephews, Joe was the devoted son of the late Joseph and Dolores Gillan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 24, 2021, 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main Street, Maple Shade. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Joe’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital @stjude.org
