John W. Pitt III

It is with great sadness that the family of John W. Pitt III announced his passing on Sunday May 18, 2025 at the age of 63. John was born on December 24, 1961 to the late John W. Pitt Jr. and Susan Pitt. He was born in Riverside and resided in Willingboro, Edgewater Park, Beverly, Palmyra, and many other places in South Jersey before moving to Maple Shade five years ago. John graduated in 1980 from Pemberton Township High School with a varsity letter in soccer. John retired from The State of N.J. after 20+ years, having worked at the Brigadier General C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown as a Sr. Cemetery Caretaker. He enjoyed playing regular games of poker and took pleasure in trips to the casino. He also liked baseball card collecting, yard saling, playing golf, and watching the Phillies.

Father of John Pitt IV and Audrey Pitt, loving son of Susan Monroe (the late John W. Pitt Jr.), dear brother of David (Dawn) Pitt and Erik (Brittany) Benson, special uncle of Dave (Jess) Pitt Jr., Sara Pitt, and Nick Benson.
