Jack "Bocco" Montesjardi

Bocco was a guy in motion. He spent most of his career with RMP Powertrain Solutions (Holman) but somehow found the time to run his own landscaping business and do a little DJ entertaining on the side. Of course, he found his real calling as a grandfather, shuttling the kids around to soccer, picking them up at school, teaching them to ride their bikes down the shore and watching the Goonies. If his T.V. was on he’d be checking out some older shows (Sanford and Son) or watching some mob movies. Relaxing times found him heading down the shore doing some fishing and crabbing, he loved cheering for the Phils and was a regular at the Sons of Italy in Cherry Hill. He was raised in Pennsauken and resided in Maple Shade.

A young Jack was working as a cook at the Harvest House. He spied a pretty waitress named Arlene. Few sly comments and a few winks and he’d win her over for a date. They’d share a 56 years marriage blessed by two children, Stephen and Deanna (Richard) Dillon; and later by grandchildren, Alena Slater, Ashley Slater, Jocelynn Dillon, Brendan Dillon, Ava Dillon and Alivia Dillon and a great-grandson Matthew. He was the brother of John (Cyndi), Rita (Bill) Babineaux, the late Sandy (Walt) Hager, the late Catherine (Wayne) Worthington and the late Ruby (Sean) Rattle. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Lena Montesjardi.

Come celebrate 77 great years, Thursday 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Mark C Tilghman Funeral Home, 38 North Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 236 East Main Street, Maple Shade. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers donations to Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org) or Samaritan Hospice (samaritannj.org) will be appreciated.
