George P. Ryba, a cherished husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on October 9, 1944, George's life was marked by dedication, warmth, and a passion for the simple pleasures in life. George is survived by his beloved wife of over 42 years, Emily Ryba (nee Crammer), who was his partner in all of life's adventures. He was a loving brother to Richard Ryba and his wife Judy, and Mary Jane Barnes and her husband Jack. George was predeceased by his sister, Patricia, and brothers Harry and Kenny Ryba; He will also be fondly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Donna Ryba, Beverly Lustgarten and her husband Kenneth, Anna Krum and her husband Billy, and Brenda Krum (Donald), as well as his mother-in-law, Pheobe Crammer. His legacy continues through the many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews, who will carry forward the kindness he exemplified. George was a respected member of the community, known for his long tenure as the Head Groundskeeper for the Marie H. Katzenbach School for the Deaf. His dedication to his work was evident in the condition of the school's grounds, a testament to his hard work and attention to detail. George was also an active member of the New Egypt Elks Lodge 2457, where he formed many lasting friendships and contributed to numerous community service initiatives. An avid sports fan, George's enthusiasm for the Philadelphia Flyers and Phillies was infectious. He could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, sharing his love for the game with anyone who would listen. George's passion for horse racing, NASCAR, and particularly his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt, was unmatched. George's love for travel took him and Emily to many places, but they held a special fondness for Lancaster, PA, where they enjoyed the tranquility and beauty of the countryside. These trips were cherished moments, filled with laughter and the joy of exploration. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, February 21st from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home 114 South Main Street, Allentown, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 3 pm.
