Frederick J. Banford, Jr.

Frederick J. Banford, Jr. of Maple Shade passed away on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at the age of 71. Fred was born in Philadelphia on July 2, 1953 to the late Frederick, Sr. and Amy Banford. He retired from Amtrak where he worked as a track foreman. Fred was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite in Philadelphia and the Columbia Social Club of Port Richmond. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess and shooting darts.

Beloved husband of over 40 years to Christine Banford (nee Castrilli), loving father of Frederick J. III and Alicia Banford, dear brother of Samuel Banford and the late Amy Dougherty and the late Anthony Banford, Fred will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Saturday June 28th, 12-2 PM at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. A memorial service and a masonic service will follow 2 PM at the funeral home.
