Elizabeth Ann Swank (nee Clark)
Betty marched to the beat of her own drum. Nicknamed “Dressed up Betty” for a reason, she was always stunning in her iconic wardrobe. Her fashion reflected her personality: bold, joyful, and unapologetically herself. Betty was born on December 14, 1927, in Woodbury, New Jersey and lived to the age of 98. The secret to living 98 years: staying active, physically, mentally, and socially. Summers called for her heading to Wildwood with her family. She was a hostess at heart, she lived for having her friends and family in her home. Often heard proclaiming, “Life is for the living!”, Betty encouraged everyone around her to embrace each day to the fullest. In her later years she became a snowbird living between New Jersey and Florida.
We all can only hope to live such a long wonderful life!
Betty is predeceased by her husband Roy Swank. She is survived by her children Roy (Jake), Betty Ann (Campbell), and Tom, her grandchildren Tom, Allison, and Courtney, and her great grandchildren Jordan, Ryan and Jack, along with many other relatives and friends.
The family will celebrate Betty’s 98 great years privately.
