Eleanor Smith age 98 of Cherry Hill, former longtime resident of Maple Shade, passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 13,2020 with her loving daughters by her side. She was born in Philadelphia on December 28, 1921. Eleanor worked for many years at the Apparel Shop in Maple Shade and Haddon Pharmacy in Collingswood. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and the Altar Rosary Society. Eleanor and her husband Jim enjoyed traveling, and cherished time spent with family.

Beloved wife of the late James J. Smith who passed away on May 26, 2008, loving and devoted mother of Ellen and her husband Bill Blumenstein, Diane and her husband Colin Marshall, Joan and her husband Phil Gallo, and Bettyann and her husband Jay McGill, dear grandmother of James and his wife Samantha, Thomas, Rebecca, Colin and his wife Maria, Casey and his wife Melissa, Alex, Julia and Jay, adoring great grandmother of James, Mila, Jackson, Eleanora, Liliana, Ava and Aiden, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021- 11 am, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade. Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eleanor's name may be made to The Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, 1000 Cropwell Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.
