Doris H. Henry

Doris H. Henry (nee Melvin) passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from a fall in her home. She was born in Camden, NJ to the late Rose Marie & George Melvin. Doris worked many retail jobs in her life retiring from K-Mart as a manager. She loved her children (3), grandchildren (8), great grandchildren (10) and great-great grandchildren (3). She loved Unicorns and the Dallas Cowboys. And loved going out to eat at various diners in New Jersey.

She is survived by her sisters, Loretta Danello of Berlin & Marie McGinnis of National Park. And her brother George Melvin (Ann) of Audubon. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Henry Sr. and fiancé to Roland Stafford of Mt. Holly where she lived for the past 19 years. Loving mother of Joseph Henry Jr. (Jackie) of Ashville, North Carolina, Lawrence Henry (Kathy) of Maple Shade and Charles Henry(Colleen) of Glassboro.

Grandmother to KathyJo (Michael), Debbie, Michael (Erin), Lawrence Jr. (Nora), Brandon, Melissa, Shannon (Kevin) & Matthew (Lily). Great-grandmother to Ashley, Robert, Shirl-Ann, Blaine, Aurora, Jack, Zemora, Estella, Montgomery & Cillian. Great-Great Grandmom to Artemis, Dakota & Jaxon. 

There will be a memorial celebration of Doris’ life on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, 601 Kings Hwy North, Cherry Hill, NJ from 9-11 am with a service following at 11am. Interment will be private.
