Cathy J. Blinebury, passed away on March 14, 2024, in Pennsauken, at the age of 69. Born on May 16, 1954, Cathy was a longtime Pennsauken resident, who lived a life characterized by selflessness and a deep commitment to her family and community.
Cathy's early years were spent in the warm embrace of her family, and she carried that sense of togetherness throughout her life. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Anthony Blinebury Jr., and together they raised a family that became her pride and joy. Her legacy continues through her loving children, Anthony Blinebury III and his wife Donna, and Joseph Blinebury and his wife April. Cathy's grandchildren, Derick Beekler, Anthony Blinebury IV, Ryan Blinebury, and Colt Patrick Blinebury, were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Her siblings, John Letherland and his wife Peggy, and Susan Bowman and her husband Phil, will remember Cathy as the “little sister” of the family. Her many nieces and nephews knew her as the aunt who always had time for a kind word, as well as an entertaining story.
Cathy's professional life was marked by her dedication as an educational assistant in the Pennsauken School District, where she worked for many years with the Pre-K students. Her liveliness and love for the children made her an invaluable asset to the school and the students she served. Cathy's colleagues will remember her as a steadfast and compassionate presence, who always wore her heart on her sleeve.
Outside of work, Cathy was an avid bowler for years and a familiar face at Pinsetter Bar &Bowl in Pennsauken. Her love for the game was only matched by her love for the lifelong friends she made there.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Friday, March 29th from 10 am to 12 pm at the MARK C.TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 North Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 12 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hurleys Heros (https://www.hurleysheroes.org/)
