Alfreda Dugan

Alfreda Dugan, a beacon of love and friendship and longtime Maple Shade resident, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at the age of 98. Born on November 25, 1925, Alfreda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and the strength of family bonds. Her warm smile and thoughtful nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

Alfreda was the cherished wife of the late Bernard Dugan, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and love. Together, they raised a beautiful family, instilling values of compassion and resilience in their children: Marilyn McMenamin and her husband Michael, Sharon Schutze and her husband Vincent, and Patricia Mostovlyan and her husband Michael, both deceased. Alfreda's legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Stephanie, Michael, Christine, Amanda, Megan, Michael, Matthew, Jennifer, and Eric, as well as her seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy.

She was the beloved sister of the late Edward Kukla, the late Frank Kukla, and Florence Bucia. Alfreda also held a special place in the lives of her many nieces and nephews, who will remember her for her unwavering support and genuine affection.

In the 1950s, Alfreda broke barriers as one of the few female drivers of her time, selflessly driving many others to various school and social events.After retirement, Alfreda found solace and adventure in camping at Wildwood, where she embraced the beauty of nature and the simplicity of life outdoors.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Thursday, March 21st from 10 to 11 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 East Main Street, Maple Shade. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. Interment in NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery. www.marktilghmanfuneralhome.com
