Albert Rolke, Jr.

Albert Rolke Jr., longtime Maple Shade resident passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at the age of 87. A US Army veteran in the early 1950s, he became a tradesman specializing in building custom houses in the tristate area. After a serious accident in 1985 which left him disabled, Albert was forced to retired from Buy Rite Lumber in Pennsauken, NJ. He was a longtime and actively involved member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Maple Shade and was a member of the Church Couples Club. His love of camping, boating and fishing led him to scouting where he served as an Assistant Scout Master for Troop 195 at the Bancroft School for the Handicapped Haddonfield. Albert was also a proud member of the NRA.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marion (nee Yenger); five loving children, Albert and his wife Dolly, Edward and his wife Colleen, Robert, James and his wife Kathryn, and Richard and his wife Jennifer. He is also survived by his six dear grandchildren, Brianna, Deanna, Michael, Jessica, Rebecca, and Lindsey; and a caring sister, Naomi Rigby.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Monday, November 6th from 11 am to 12 pm at the Mark C. Tilghman Funeral Home at 38 North Forklanding Road, Maple Shade. A funeral service will follow at 12 pm and interment will be in the Brig. General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue (dvgrr.org), 60 Vera Cruz Road in Reinholds, PA 17569.
