Albert A. Lory, Jr. of Mt. Laurel passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. He was born in Philadelphia where he lived until moving to Mt. Laurel in 1988. Al proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1959-1964, after which he joined the Philadelphia Police Department where he was employed as a homicide detective. He was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Cherry Hill. Al’s hobbies included reading, photography, hunting and traveling. He also enjoyed tinkering around the house and yard. Above all he was devoted to spending time with his loving family.

Beloved husband of Connie Lory (nee Fernandez), loving father of Michael (Linda) Lory, Melissa (James) Smith and the late Monica Lory, cherished grandfather of Julia (Christopher) Uhland, Dillon, and Leira, beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, brother of the late Jeanie Langston and son of the late Albert, Sr. and Margaret Lory.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 28, 2020 11 am at St. Mary’s Church, 2001 Springdale Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ. 08003.  A luncheon will follow the mass at Cafe Aldo Lamberti, 2011 Marlton Pike WEst, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Private burial at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.
