Elizabeth Ann LaRosa

Elizabeth A. LaRosa (née Stankus) of Maple Shade passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, after a very long battle with Parkinson's Disease, at her son's home in Medford, NJ. She is survived by her adoring husband of 49 years, Vincent M. LaRosa of Maple Shade, her son's Vincent J. LaRosa of Maple Shade, Christopher M. LaRosa and his wife Carol LaRosa of Medford and her grandsons Lucas and Christopher LaRosa. She is also survived by her sister and brother in-law Agnes and Frank Persichetti of Blackwood as well many cousins, nieces and nephews. Born and raised in the heart of South Philadelphia," Betty and Vince " were married and moved to Maple Shade where they raised two sons and have resided for the past 46 years. Betty was a stay at home mom most of her life but did work for Maple Shade School District as a teacher's aide, and was a stationary store associate at Hartman's cards. She was the primary caregiver for her mother Madeline Stankus (Pennsauken) and most recently a loving, doting and proud grandmother to her grandsons, Lucas and Christopher who adored her. In addition to her family, she loved animals, music and the Mummers, books, cooking and gardening. Her family was most important to her and she will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and visitation with her family Sunday July 3rd, 10 am - 12 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be private.
