Charles S. Sorkin

Charles S. Sorkin age 86 of Mt Laurel passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 18, 2015. He was born in Philadelphia and resided in Moorestown before moving to Mt Laurel 27 years ago. Charles retired from RCA/GE in 1990 where he worked as an engineer. He was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Beloved husband of Heide Sorkin (nee Brand), loving father of Jeffrey (Annie) Sorkin, Laura (Jesse) Rosenthal and Ellen (Fred) Kinkler, stepfather of Gwen Kunkel and Paul (Allison) Randall, cherished grandfather of Dan, Amy, Adam, Jamie, Elizabeth, Brielle, Cole, Lucas, Caitlyn and Madison, adoring great grandfather of Henry. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation with his family on Tuesday evening August 25th 5-6 pm at the MARK C. TILGHMAN FUNERAL HOME, 38 N. Forklanding Rd., Maple Shade. His funeral service will follow at 6 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Deborah Hospital, PO Box 820, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
