Garay G. Jans, Sr.

Garay Gordon Jans, Sr. age 73 of Maple Shade, passed away on Sunday March 22, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, he was a Maple Shade resident for 50 years. Garay was a US Navy Veteran who served on the USS Forrestal CVA59, and a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Survived by his beloved wife Rosemarie Jans (nee Toner), loving father of Rosemarie (David) Young, Jennifer Jans, Christina Jans (Michael Green) and Garay G. Jans, Jr. (Tara), cherished grandfather of David, Douglas, Jessica, Michael, Dylan, Lindsey, Morgan and Mason. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and visitation with his family on Thursday, March 26th, 10 am - 12 noon at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 236 E. Main St., Maple Shade, N.J. Garay's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 o'clock noon on Thursday, following the visitation. Interment will be private.
